MEDIA EFFECT
Early media exposure has a major impact on the physical
and mental health of children aged 2 to 7.
Children aged 2 to 7 lack judgment. Therefore, Television
induces violent and aggressive behavior in children.
If the TV still shows some violence. Then, the parents will
turn off the TV or change the channel.
This approach will reduce the ratings of the program.
The competitiveness of this TV channel with other TV
channels will also be greatly reduced.

• A long time ago, children used to


urge their parents and
grandparents to storytelling.

• Children age 2-8 used to ask


parents to storytelling during sleep.

Outdoor Activities

• Television has changed the habit of children's outdoor activities.


• Usually, a long time ago when children were not addicted to television.
• Therefore, children are being affected by various diseases such as stunting.
• 20.7 percent of children are suffering from stunting- under 5 (Unicef, 2019).

Conclusion
• According to the research, Television Program has both positive and negative impact on
children age 2-7.

• Cartoon and Animated video attract children attention. Additionally, Advertisement.

• Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588) has set regulation regarding
advertisement broadcasting during children program.

• TV program – Aggressive, Obesity, and Following western culture.

• Storytelling and Outdoor activities.
