Nikola Tesla
(july 10, 1856 – janury 7, 1943)
He was an inventor, mechanical, electrical and physical engineer of Serbo-Croatian origin.
He is known for his numerous inventions in the field of electromagnetism, developed in the late
nineteenth and early twentieth century. The Tesla patents and their theoretical work helped to forge
the foundations of modern systems for the use of electric power by alternating current (AC),
including the polyphaser system of electrical distribution and the AC motor, which contributed to the
emergence of the Second Industrial Revolution.
Tesla’s inventions
• Rotatin magnetic field: a rotating magnetic field that would allow to power an engine with alternating
current, before transforming into direct current.

• AC Motor:
Tesla came to build the device mentioned in the previous point: the AC motor, an apparatus capable of
converting a certain form of energy into mechanical energy of rotation.

• Wireless power transfer:

Tesla demonstrated that the transfer of electrical energy wirelessly was possible through the use of a series
of phosphorus bulbs, a process he called electrodynamic induction.
Tesla’s inventions
• Development of x-rays:
Almost a decade before the invention of x-rays, our protagonist developed several investigations
in the field of electromagnetism, accounting, among other things, how important it was to consider
the dangers inherent in the use of ionizing radiation in human flesh.

• Teslascope:
The teslascope was designed by our remembered inventor and would allow communication with
beings from outer space, as he mentioned it.
