 Bucket From The Sky
She is a woman called Ummu Syarik her
real name is Ghaziyah binti Jabir bin Hakim.
She was classified as a lady of Quraisy
nobility. Ummu Syariq entered to Islam when
she was in Mecca. After entered to Islam she
be determined for spread teachings of tauhid,
raise the sentence of Allah “Laa ilaaha illallah
Muhammadur Rasulullah”
Begin Ummu Syarik teaches Quraisy
women in secret. Invited them to enter to
Islam. She did it patiently, without baredom,
and without saturation. Over time, the action of
Ummu Syarik are known by the people of
Mecca. The people of Mecca said “if it were
not for your people, we would do something to
you, but you will return to your people.
”Ummu Syarik replied“ my husband’s family
has come to me”. Then the people of Mecca
said “not by Allah. really we will torment you
mwith painful punishment.” then they brought
her out of her house.
Ummu Syarik was brought up with
camel on a slow ride. Camel driven by
Ummu Syarik was the worst vehicle.in the
middle of journey, Ummu Syarik only
fedbread and honey.they do not given a
drink of Ummu Syarik though a drop until
noon. When it’s getting hot. The people who
brought Ummu Syarik got out of their
vehicle and set up a tent.
The people of Mecca said “lest you are
above his religion” Ummu Syarik replied
“for God, I am above his religion”. Whereas
they let Ummu Syariq be in the hot sun.
Until Ummu Syariq loses her sense, her
hearing, her eyesight as well. They tortured
Ummu Syariq for three days.
On the third day, the people who
brought Ummu Syariq said “Leave your
faith,” Ummu Syariq can only answer by
raising her finger towards the sky (ahad).
 Suddenly there was a bucket full
of water in her chest. She took the
bucket and drank it once. Then, the
bucket rose to the sky and hung.
Ummu Syariq just looking at the
bucket and unable to reach it.
For the second time the bucket
went down to the Ummu Syariq and
she drank it one gulp. The bucket
rises again and hangs between sky
and earth. Ummu Syariq looking at
him unable to reach the bucket. Then
the third time the bucket went down
to ummu syariq. Ummu syariq also
drink it until satisfied. Then, the
water in the bucket was poured over
her head, her face, and her clothes.
the people who brought ummu
syariq were intrested in seeing the
incident while saying “ Where did
you get this bucket, o enemy of
Allah?” ummu syariq replied
“ The enemy of Allah is not me, the enemy of
Allah is the person who disagree of his
religion, and as for your question from
where is this bucket? This is sustenance that
Allah gave me.”
Then those people go to their water supply.
They found a rope to place their water not
free from its bonds. That means ummu not
take their water supply.
Then they said “We testifiy your rabb is our
rabb and substenance in this place after we
torture you . Alla is who makes the Syari’a
of islam.” Then, they emigrated to the
prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi waasallam.
The patience of Ummu Syarik in facing
the test of faith makes Allah protect her
servant from misery. Allah also shows his
greatness by lowering the bucket from the
sky so that the unbelievers know that only
Allah is entitled to be worshiped by all
beings.
