Ano ang coronavirus?
Ang coronavirus ay
pamilya ng mga virus na
nagdudulot ng ibat-bang uri
ng sakit, mula sa
karaniwang ubo’t sipon
hanggang sa mas
malubhang impeksyon.

Steps for good handwashing
• Wet hands under running water
• Apply soap and rub hands together to make a soapy
lather
• Away from the running water, rub the front and back
of hands. Massage all the fingertips properly
including the thumb, the web of the fingers, around
and under the nails.

(PASS)
DepEd Memo 3. s. 2014
1. The PASS is a systematic relay of
information on the child’s or teacher’s state
of health to appropriate personnel and/or
agencies in the locality/schools.

2. All school heads shall
operationalize the PASS in
their respective schools.

3. Teachers-in-charge shall explain in the class
how the PASS works:
a. Pupils/students will observe the well being of
their own classmates and if someone among
them is not feeling well/or has colds/cough and
feverish, the sick pupils/students will be
reported to the teachers for validation.

b. The early morning health inspection shall be
conducted routinely by the teacher to detect the
presence of fever and the other signs and symptoms of
infections. The teacher shall keenly observe the health
status of each pupil in the classroom. If he/she finds out
that a child is sick, this case shall be reported
immediately to the Principal.

c. The Principal shall notify the family/guardian of the
sick child and be referred to the nearest health facility.

d. The illness of the student, teachers or another school


employees should be closely monitored by the health
personnel.

4. The School Head shall closely coordinate with the
barangay health workers and with the City Health
Office relative to updates in the occurrence of
infectious disease in the community.

5. School heads shall conduct daily monitoring of
health status of children and personnel, and maintain a
record of it.
6. School Principals/Clinic Teachers are expected to
take the lead in operationalizing the PASS and relay
relevant/urgent information to the School Health
Section and to the Schools Division Superintendent.

Schools are directed to intensify the
information campaign against the
coronovirus and seek the active
involvement of parents to ensure that
students are protected against nCoV.

- Provision of thermometer
- Avoid crowded places
