 Background And Cases

Wong is the accountant in charge of the audit staff at the San Francisco office of a large,
international accounting firm namely Willy And Lomax Inc. Although these companies have
different names but they produce the same merchandise. Besides Wong who is the responsible
accountant, there are others, namely Sun Lauren Hutchison and four other staff accountants who
have worked on Willy and Lomax's audit since early January. Hutchison, he passed the CPA
exam not long after joining the company, has a charming personality that is liked by his
employers and client executives. On the other hand Wong has struggled to pass the CPA exam
by nature and is a graduate of the State University, Wong was suspicious of Hutchison that he
had not properly reported his hours in order to advance. Hutchison worked outside his working
hours for Willy and Lomax but did not report it.

◦ Hamilton and his colleagues "Willies" is a nickname given to his office to a member of the
audit engagement team Willy And Lomax is quickly running out of time to complete Adit.

◦ Because they were always running out of time in auditing, Hutchison ended up doing his work
at home, but he did not report his working hours, causing suspicion for Wong who was in
charge of keeping track of work time.

◦ Wong once asked Hutchison, "who are you trying to impress by eating so much time?" then
the usually mild-mannered Hutchinson replied, "You're a timekeeper, not a boss."

is Dishonesty

Wong realized that Hutchison had worked outside the hours set by the company
but he reported less than he did but the job was done. when told to put the hours
of work bills into the electronic tweezers wong where bought less than 30
minutes walking in the hall. Wong once asked Hutchison, "who are you trying to
impress by eating so much time?" then the usually mild-mannered Hutchinson
replied, "You're a timekeeper, not a boss." Maybe what he meant by asking
Hutchison about this was to know the clarity, but Hutchison didn't tell Wong the
purpose and purpose of doing this.

Strengths : - The company not only has one auditor
but more than one.
- Have workers who have graduated from foreign
schools and are experts in their fields.
SWOT
Opportunities : Can be seen better than other
auditors, not called "Willies", promoted to the
position, get praise from superiors and employees
and in a more respectful view.
Weaknesses : - Quickly ran out of time to complete the
audit.
- The absence of cooperation between auditors.
- Unfair competition by being dishonest with one
anothers.
- Willing to Dishonest to gain trust.
Threats : When the audit does not have the
comfort and also the confidence in the company
and the cooperation of other friends, can not be
trusted again, lost opportunity to be promoted,
stuck position, no progress.
Alternative Courses of Action (ACA)

Fair competition and also honesty in a team is necessary to

determine the future of the company.

Not selfish and think of yourself to be the front man, he must be

honest with wong, because he has taken his working hours to spend
at home and also he every week chooses to shave a few hours off the
total amount he spends.

Be open with fellow partners and also mutually and establish good
communication with each other.
