Introduction to Covid-19
• Corona viruses are a family of viruses that cause
illness such as respiratory diseases or gastrointestinal
diseases. Respiratory diseases can range from the
common cold to more severe diseases

• Corona virus was started from China Wuhan in 2019.


Knows as Covid-19, virus spread in whole world and
infected millions of people in very short period of
time.
Businesses Down
• Due to Covid-19 every business have suffered
huge losses, which causes negative impact on
the economy of Pakistan.
• Business maintain the economy and inflation
Impact of Covid-19 on Inflation
• During the lockdown phase, the epidemic and
associated lockdown measures can affect the
supply and demand of certain products, and
hence, their prices. An obvious example is food
and medical goods. Short-term price inflation
of such goods can be driven by a number of
factors.
• Petrol, gold, vehicles and properties prices
slashed in the time of lockdown.
GDP Last 4 years
Unemployment
• Covid-19 have cause a lot of unemployment
because of lockdowns in country. Businesses
were shutdown to stop spreading of virus. p
Salaries Decreased
• Companies and firms deducted the salaries of
employees because of businesses being
shutdown for the long period of time.
Health Sectors
• Health sectors were not able to do testing
because of testing kits and equipments were
not available.
• People were not facilitated on the time of
raising numbers of Covid-19
Exports and Imports
• Import & Export suffered huge breakdown as
all countries were closed.
• The main impact on economy of Pakistan was
no import and export for long period of time.
Financial Crisis
• Country had major financial crisis as there no
businesses running in lockdowns and banking
sectors were closed so there were no
transaction of money.
• People were not having able to feed
themselves because there were no work
people who earn hand to mouth were totally
in crisis.
