BIOGRAPHY OF RADAMEL FALCAO
Radamel Falcao García is the son of Radamel García, former central defender of
professional teams in Colombia and Venezuela during the 1980s and 1990s. Falcao,
named after the Brazilian midfielder Paulo Roberto Falcão who was his father's idol,
began to emerge in football and in baseball. During his stay in Venezuela, baseball
would become his passion. In El Vigía he played in children's categories trying to imitate
the steps of two of his models in the small ball, shortstop Omar Vizquel and Ozzie
Guillén. However, when the García family returned to Colombia, Radamel dedicated
himself to soccer, participating in children's and youth tournaments where he
demonstrated his extraordinary conditions as an attacking striker that would take him
to Argentina and Europe.

Radamel Falcao is married to Argentine singer Lorelei Tarón, whom he met at an

evangelical church he attended in Buenos Aires. On August 13, 2013, his daughter
Dominique García Tarón was born at the Princess Grace Hospital in La Colle, Monaco.
Their second daughter, Desirée García Tarón, was born in February 2015.

In June 2013, he was appointed ally of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. In
November 2013, it was officially reported that Radamel is a UNODC Goodwill
Ambassador
