TO FARMERS AT LA TRINIDAD
VEGETABLE TRADING POST
OBJECTIVES OF THE
STUDY
 This study aimed to assess the effect of middlemen to
farmers and if the middlemen follows the right pricing
of vegetables. It seeks to determine if middlemen
really helps or contributes in the proper market of
goods in the market industry and to know the attitude
of the farmers towards the middlemen.
IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY
1. The farmers to develop harmonious relationship with the middleman and to
strengthen their production and to do more in farming.
2. The Middlemen of La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post for them to improve
more their ways in dealing with the farmers and buyers as well.
3. The Local Government Unit of La Trinidad and even other Municipalities for
them to make solutions on how to deal with agricultural problems of farmers
and to assist the middleman on what and how to do the market system.
4. The Future Researchers as they may use this study as basis if they aim to
conduct another study related to this research title.

 After the approval of the title, the researchers together
with their adviser drafted the questionnaire.
 The researchers went at La Trinidad Vegetable Trading
Post and floated their survey-questionnaires starting from
October 29 until November 6.
 The survey-questionnaires were retrieved to preserve its
reliability and confidentiality.
 The gathered data were tallied, analyzed and interpreted.

CONCLUSIONS
1. The advantages of middlemen in La Trinidad
Vegetable Trading Post to farmers is attained.
2. There are problems being encountered by the
farmers with regard to the middlemen.
3. There are remedial measures which are very much
effective to minimize the problems being
encountered by the farmers with regard the
middlemen.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. The advantages of middlemen to farmers must be strengthened maybe through seminars
and trainings of middlemen in relation to marketing and farming to impart more knowledge,
enhance awareness and skills.
2. The relationship between the farmers and the middlemen should be taken into
consideration so that in this way problems will be minimized. It is also recommended that
buyers can help by shouldering the expenses used in packaging their purchased vegetables.
3. The remedial measures must be implemented since it is very much effective in solving
problems being encountered by the farmers with the middlemen.
4. The middlemen should tackle within their organization named “Bagsakan Association”, their
regulation to enhance price monitoring system and impose a standard amount of
commission on every kilogram of vegetables that they dispose regardless of the price.
5. The commission must be consistent disregarding whether the price of the vegetable is high
or low.
