What is season?
A season is one of 4 periods in a year.
Each season lasts about 3 months.
In each season, there are changes in temperature, weather and length of
daylight.
Spring
Flowers begin to grow in the spring.
Spring is marked after Basanta Panchami
“Saraswoti Puja” in Nepal.
The leaves begin to grow on trees.
The weather starts to get warmer.
It is neither too cold nor too hot in spring.
Summer
Summer is the warmest time of the year.
The water gets warm and we can go swimming.
We enjoy Ice-cream, cold-drinks in summer.
We wear T-shirt, Half-pant in summer.
The days are longer and the nights are shorter.
Autumn
In Autumn the leaves fall from the trees.
The leaves turn colors of red, yellow, and brown.
The weather begins to turn colder in Autumn.
The days become shorter and night become longer.
It is rainy during Autumn.
Winter
Winter is the coldest time of the year.
Snow falls in the winter.
Ponds and lakes freeze in the winter.
We wear Sweater, Jackets in winter.
The days are shorter and nights are longer.
