is a form of self-motivated and systematic
participation in exercise that is geared towards
the improvement of one’s quality of life.
Physical fitness
is the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor
and alertness, without undue fatigue, and with
ample energy to enjoy leisure activities and to
meet unforeseen emergencies.

Participation in Physical Activities:

is the driving force and most important part of
fitness.
 it prevents hypo kinetic condition which is
caused totally or partially by inactivity.
examples are heart disease, high blood
pressure, back pain stomach ulcers and obesity.

fitness:

Cardiovascular fitness

Muscular strength

Muscular endurance
Flexibility

Body Fatness (body fat composition)


1. Cardiovascular fitness
is the ability to exercise for long periods of time.

it involves the strong heart and lungs and good


blood vessels.
2. Muscular Strength
is the amount of external force that a muscle or
group of muscles can exert.

the ability of the muscle to exert an external


force, such as lift a heavy object
3. Muscular endurance
is the ability to move muscles many times
without getting tired.
it contributes to good posture, resisting fatigues
and fewer back pains.
the ability of the muscles to work repeatedly
over a long period of time without fatigue.
4. Flexibility
is the ability to use your joints fully. It helps
reduce injury to muscles and other body parts.
5. Body Fatness (body fat
composition)
is the percent of the total body weight that is fat.

is the amount of time it takes to get moving and


there is a need to move.

is the ability to perform a movement or cover a


distance in a short period of time.
