• The following pictures are random to show the variety of

antennas out there but also remember that at the base, they all
operate the same. Of course various antennas have different
property values and additional properties not seen in the
Hertzian dipole. For example, all antennas have what is called
an effective area even though some do not seem to have an
area (including the Hertzian dipole)
