WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM IS COMPOSED OF ORGANS


Located Insede The Body Are The Ovaries, fallopian Tubes, uterus And
Vagina Organs Located Outside The Body Are The Vulva
OVARY

• Amount Of A Pair Located In The Pelvic Cavity(pelvis) And In The Form Of Walnuts With A
Leght Of 3-5 Cm Width 2-3 Cm And Thickness 1 Cm.
• Ovaries Function As A Place Of Oogenesis And Produce The Hormones Estrogen Adnd
Progesterone
FALLOPIAN TUBE

• Amouted To A Pair Of Fallopian Tubes Having Parts


• Infundilium Funnel Shafed Debgan Fimbria To Sweep Ovulated Oocyts
• Ampulla (Middle Segment)
• Ismis (Segment Near The Uterus)
• Fertilization Occurs In One Third Of The Fallopian Tubes
UTERUS

• Is A Single Hpllow Organ Located Between The Rectum And The Bladder Of The Uterine Well
Consisting Of Perimetrium (Outside)
VAGINA
The vagina is a fibromuscular tube that is about 8-10 cm long. Vaginal walls are folded elastic and
coated with many flat-coated epithelium that has receptors for estrogens. The vagina fungtions as a
copulation organ as well as the menstrual flow path and the baby’s birth canal.
VULVA
Vulva (pudendum) is an external genital organ consisting as follows.
1. Mons pubis is a skin-bearing fat-covered tissue covered by hair after puberty
2. Labia major (large lips) are two folds of skin and mons pubis stretching down and meeting in
the perineum near the anus.
3. Labia minor (small lips) are two folds of skin that contain sebaceous glands and sweat glands.
4. The clitoris contains many sensitive nerve endings.
5. The vestibule is an area surrounded by labia minor and covers the urethral hole, there is the
bartolin gland producing mucus during sexual excitement.
6. Urethral orifice is a pathway out of the urine from the bladder.
7. The mouth of the vagina is surrounded by a membrane of the hymen.
FEMALE GENITAL HORMONES
1. Estrogen effect on the growth of refroduktive organs
2. Progesterone serves to stimulate endometrial growth
3. LH (luteinizing hormone) serves to stimulate the ovaries to produce esterogen and progesterone
4. FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) function to stimulate the ovaries to produce estrogen and
progesterone
5. GNRH (gonadrotopin releasing hormone) serves to manipulate hypophysis to secrete LH and
FSH
