SCAM
CRIME:
TO Arson= To set fire on purpose
TO Kidnap= abduct (someone) and hold them captive
Bribery= the giving or offering of a bribe
Identity Theft= using another person's name and personal information in order to obtain credit, loans,
STALKING= the crime of illegally following and watching someone over a period of time
TO COUNTERFEIT= something that is made to look like the original of something else, usually for
dishonest or illegal purposes
TO SHOPLIFT= the action of stealing goods from a shop while pretending to be a customer
HACKING= the gaining of unauthorized access to data in a system or computer.
TO PICKPOCKET= the action of stealing from a person's pockets
SCAM=HUSTLE= a dishonest scheme; a fraud
TO PRETEND TO BE= to imagine and act out (a particular role, situation, etc.)
TO FOOL SMB= to trick someone by making them believe something that is not trueI
TO SNATCH SMTH= to pull or take something away quickly
TO SWAP SMTH = to give something to someone in exchange for something else
TO BE TAKEN IN= If you are taken in by someone or something, you are deceived by them, so that you
get a false impression of them
TO FALL FOR = when you believe what smb tells you but you are deceived
TO DECEIVE= deliberately cause (someone) to believe something that is not true
TO DIVERT SMB’S ATTENTION= to change the subject of somebody’s attention
TO GRAB= grasp or seize suddenly and roughly
TO SWITCH = an act of changing to or adopting one thing in place of another.
TO POSE AS= If you pose as a particular person, you pretend to be that person in order to deceive

CON ARTIST= a person who cheats or tricks others by persuading them to believe something that is not
