DEFINITION

• Technology is a very hard thing to

define because it is such a large area
• Technology is the use of knowledge
to turn resources into goods and
services that society needs and
wants
• The word ”technology” refers to the
making, modification, and
knowledge of tools, machines,
techniques, crafts, and systems
methods of organization, in order to
solve a problem, achieve a goal or
improve a pre-existing solution to a
problem.

 Digital technology

 Digital technology is now a prominent

feature of education provision and
practice in many countries and contexts.
 Mobile telephony, internet use and other
forms of computing are familiar in these
days.
 Many governments in the world,
encourage the use of digital technologies
in schools, colleges, and universities.
 Digital technology is a topic that is of
significance to a global educational
audience.
 Educational technology
• However, if we talk about the
field of education in many
countries of the world and
the impact of technology on
it, we can often see that it is
missing.
• The lack of technology in a
country's education is mainly
due to the carelessness of the
ministries and governments
of that country
• The government should be
the main institution to deal
with the financing of
resources necessary for
educational technology
• Students should benefit from
advanced technology, such as:
 laboratories equipped with
special instruments, high-
performance measuring devices
 laboratories with laptops or
high-performance computers
 classrooms with magnetic board,
video projector and digital
manuals

 Advantages
• with mobile technology we
communicate easily with other
people
• with aerial technology we can
reach in different corners of the
world much easier
• with information technology
we can forward or receive
information in few seconds
• with progressive technology in
agriculture we will be able to
meet more and more people's
needs

Disadvantages
• Instead of clearly communicating what
we want or feel, we send text messages
• By using the internet, children become
addicted to online games and physical
activities and excercises are less and
less
• We are now facing serious problems of
environmental pollution due to
vehicles that realease unwanted gases
into the environment and we are trying
to create a more environmentally
friendly car technology that has a
lower impact on the evironment
compared to current technology
