• When you are getting an employee counselling related case, first
check whether ‘problem ‘ of the employee is caused because of poor
performance or poor team skills
• You can have four types employees based on their performance and
team skills
• Refer to the graphical representation in next slide
• If employee is facing a performance related issues you can suggest
them to various performance betterment options such as attending
an upskilling workshop, improving work –knowledge, taking more
effort, mentoring etc.
• To improve team skills, employees can be recommended to attend
group workshop, team skills training, mentoring /counselling sessions
etc…
• Employees require counselling because some other problems, for
instance an employee facing Work Life Balance issue. In this case
emotional support and some practical solutions can be provided as
per the situation of the company.
• Employees may face so many similar issues such as relationship
issues, financial crisis, other social matters
• During Covid’19 lockdown period , employees challenges are more
different
