ETHERNET CONNECTIONS SETTING
On the Network & Internet setting, change the Ethernet setting.
(TCP/IPv4 – Obtain an IP address automatically)
Commissioning of the Aviat modules
Connect the Ethernet cable from the Laptop/ PC to the first Port as shown on the
picture below.

On the laptop/ PC click on the Aviat Portal already installed.

On clicking the icon, the below interface will open up. Select the
IP address with the green tick and click connect.
The window below will open showing the modules installed and their
positions.
Click on the Use detected for all tab. For every changes done on the portal,
Always remember to click on Save.
To start the configuration, click as indicated below ( Configuration >> Plug-Ins).
You can also right click on the displayed connection then select plug-ins.
The below window will pop up. Set the Bandwidth/ Modulation, then the Tx
Frequency. The Rx Frequency will fill in automatically after Tx/ Rx Spacing has
been selected from the drop down.
Tx/ Rx Spacing is determined by the part number of the ODU connected. It can
be gotten from the part number.
Examples:
PART NUMBER DESCRIPTION Frequency TX/ RX Spacing

EAH-07-0161-101 ODU 300, 07GHz, TR156/161/168MHz, 7424-7488MHz, HI PWR, TX LOW 7GHz 161

EAH-07-0161-102 ODU 300, 07GHz, TR156/161/168MHz, 7582-7649MHz, HI PWR, TX HIGH 7GHz 161

EEH-07-0168-021 ODU 600, 07GHz, T-R 0161/0168MHz, 7499-7583MHz,TX LOW 7GHz 168

EEH-07-0168-022 ODU 600, 07GHZ, T-R 0161/0168MHZ,7667-7751MHZ,HP,TX HIGH 7GHZ 168

EEH-15-0420-011 ODU 600, 15GHz T-R 0420MHz, 14501-14648MHz, HP, TX LOW 15GHz 420

EEH-15-0420-012 ODU 600, 15GHz, T-R 0420MHz, 14921-15068MHz, HP, Tx HIGH 15GHz 420
Set the Frequencies depending on the Tx Freq Range (MHz).
Ensure for both Ends ( Far- End and Near- End) are configured with the
same Bandwidth / Modulation, Tx/Rx Spacing (MHz).
The Tx Frequency of one end is the Rx Frequency of the other end and
vice versa.
Once both ends of the transmission is well configured, the portal should display all items
in green as indicated below.
