•In 2017, Harvard class revealed exclusively to TIME that they’ll be offering a
course this fall about real medieval history called “The Real X : From Modern
Myths to Medieval Models”. This Folklore and Mythology class will be based
on those books that “echoes and adapts, as well as distorts the history and
culture of the ‘medieval world’ of Eurasia from c. 400 to 1500 CE” by
exploring “a set of archetypal characters at the heart of X".
•Assistant Professor at Harvard, Gilsford : “When I read medieval verse epics
with my students, they’d say, ‘Oh, that’s like in X ,’” she says. “No, if anything
at all, it’s the other way around. Isn’t it partly our job [as professors] to use
that interest and go deeper?”
•ID X.
2.

•X’s relationship with India dates back to 1912, when it began importing and
selling finished products in the Indian market.
•After India's independence in 1947, the economic policies of the Indian
Government emphasized the need for local production. X responded to India's
aspirations by forming a company in India and set up its first factory in 1961 at
Moga, Punjab.
•In 1947, following several changes in ownership and corporate structure, Y's
holding company merged with the X company. However, Y was not launched in
India until 1980’s upon which it became a huge success. Y is a product
manufactured by X.
•Id x & y

•In some stock markets, the X effect is the phenomenon of stock returns in October being lower
than in other months. The name comes from  X’s quote: "October is one of the peculiarly
dangerous months to speculate in stocks. The others are July, January, September, April,
November, May, March, June, December, August, and February.”
•The fact that X specifically picks out October initially is taken as a reference to an "October
effect", as exemplified by the 1929, 1987 and 2008 stock market crashes which roughly occurred
in October. X was bankrupt by the age of 59, which undoubtedly contributed to his cynical view of
stock speculation.
• His most famous investing disaster was at least a $150,000 loss -- $4 million in today's dollars --
on the Paige Compositor

• She moved to the United States as a teenager, first studying to become a
stockbroker, but after taking some abandoned kittens to an animal shelter in
1969 and being appalled by the conditions that she found there, she chose a
