LIQUID BIOPSY

It is very important because thanks to this liquid biopsy it is


easier to detect the cancer and make a more efficient
procedure to heal it.

• A minimally invasive test performed on a blood sample to identify tumor cancer cells or DNA
from tumor cells that are circulating in the blood.
• It can be useful for diagnosing early stage cancer and for
planning treatment according to the type of tumor,
determining its effectiveness and detecting relapse.

• It is a simple procedure, which avoids disruption to the


patient and saves time.
• The technique is not yet definitive in the early detection of
cancer, so it does not replace other methods of early
diagnosis, but is complementary to them.

• The challenges include finding out which types of tumors


benefit most from its use and how often the tests should be
performed.
