Level CEFR AIM Change
Intermediate Entry Level 3 Change R2 task - 5 x short passages on a common theme e.g.
B1 level (601/4946/2) personal anecdotes, letters, reviews, descriptions. 7 x statements
read/write to match
 
To bring more in line with sections R2 at Pre-Intermediate and
Advanced
Advanced Level 1 Section L1 Increase the number of gaps to fill in on the notes, from
B2 level (601/4947/4) 10 to 14
listening (Total 14 marks)
   
Section L3 Cut one of the monologues to 4 speakers not 5
Advanced Level 1 Section R2 - 6 news articles instead of 5, one of which will not be
B2 level (601/4947/4) chosen as an answer
read/write  
Proficiency Level 2 Section L1 Now with 12 questions
C1 level (601/4949/8) Q1-4 = 3 part m/c
listening Q5 -8 = completing gaps in notes
Q 9 -12 = complete table with notes
(Total 24 marks)
