You and Your Credits

What we will discuss:

❏ Credits

❏ How to become a sophomore

❏ Which classes you’ll have to take again, if any!

What is a CREDIT?

❏ You will earn a credit if you pass a class with a C- or better

❏ Year-long classes (math, English, etc.) are worth 1 credit
❏ Semester classes (Art, elective, etc) are worth .5 credits
❏ PE is worth .25 credits
❏ These are based on your YEARLY grade. If you struggled in a
quarter, you can still get credit!
❏ Credits don’t become official until the class is over!
❏ If this is your second semester in high school, you probably don’t have many credits
right now.
