1. Process Safety Culture
• Observe employees’ behavior:
 Daily Walk around, and
 two-way communication.
• Monitor all employees’ behavior during drills,
• Daily check for all Un-Safe act,
• Identify the gap, area of improvement and week points,
• Review the work environment changes effectiveness toward improving the culture,
• Compare the observed behaviors to our desired behaviors,
• Monthly formal assessments to identify gaps, and
• Monthly meeting with all employees.
2. Compliance with standards
• Monthly revision with all departments’ rep the operating procedures,

• Monitor all process alarm,

• focus on the most common alarm and the most criticality,

• Monitor and assess all employees’ behavior during drills,

• Identify the gap, and week points,

• Participate in development of Process safety standards, and

• PSM standard awareness.


3. Process safety competency
• enhancing competency level of workers,

• Monitor competency profile of critical process safety elements,

• Evaluate the gap in competency,

• Participate in development of Process safety competency programs, and

• Ask for external training for all employees,


4. Workforce involvement
• Participates in all workforce involvement efforts

• Lead discussions around process safety issues with operating personnel.

• Provide constructive feedback to improve process safety and track feedback to


resolution.

• Follow up all comments and recommendation from internal and external audits,

• Assure that all our workforce organization instructions are considered and
implemented.
5. Stakeholder outreach
• Keep on good relationships with all external stakeholders,

• Facilitate meetings with the local community,

• Manage all major off-site accident risks, and

• Coordinate all emergency response simulation and/or drill.


6. Process knowledge
management
• Verify the last updated P&IDs as soft and hard copies,

• Review safe operating limits and failure consequences,

• Participate in developing the internal standards for the company, and

• Assure all required information to be readily available as hard and soft copies at
available locations.
7. Hazard Identification & Risk
Analysis
• Monitor for closeout all qualitative risk assessments studies recommendations,

• Implement procedures for hazards analysis and risk assessment,

• Participate in process hazards analysis, and

• review all safety studies.


8. Operating procedures

• Revise operating procedures,

• Describe key safeguards, and addressing special situations and emergencies,

• Identify safe operating limits for a process, and

• Refreshment courses of deviation from procedures,


9. Safe work practices
•Follow up our procedure,

•Participate in confined-space operations, and certify attendants competency,

•Participate in line breaking and/or lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures,

•Participate in implementing work permit policy, and

•Participate in internal and external Audit to improve safe work practices.


10. Asset integrity and reliability
•Assess inspections results, conclusions, and recommendations.

•Participate in developing preventive maintenance,

•share procedures, and strategies,

•monitor corrosion rates, and

•Participate in materials proper selection for maintainability.


11. Contractor management
•assure all contract workers can perform their jobs safely,

•Assure all contracted services do not increase facility operational risks,

•Monthly Audit for all contractors,

•Enhance contractor’s process safety performance.

•Develop process safety requirements for hiring competent contractors.


12. Training and performance assurance
• Continuous assessment to check the workers’ competency,

• Recommend process safety training programs,

• Provide process safety training programs,

• Participate in training program for all new fresh employees, and

• Recommend refreshment programs for all company employees.


13. Management of change (MOC)

•Participate in reviewing and authorizing all proposed changes,

•Assure that the process safety information is updated accordingly,

•Develop corporate procedures for change management, and

•Author MOC documentation.


14. Operational readiness
• Review and evaluate startup and shut-down process,

• Lead and/or participate in pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR).

• Develop commissioning and startup, shut-down plans.

• Identify critical process safety information (PSI) required to operate safely.


15. Conduct of operations
• Implement practices intended to maintain operational
discipline,

• Assure that performed tasks are done exactly as per our


procedure, and

• monitor and take corrective action plans.


16. Emergency management
• Participate in emergency response drills with community
responders,

• Address and plan the potential plant emergencies,

• Record and manage all weakest points during drills, and

• Develop a continuous improvement plan as training etc.


17. Incident investigation
• Participate in process safety events investigation,

• Report, track, and investigate incidents and near misses,

• Identify root causes, suggest corrective actions, and communicating lessons


learned,

• Manage accident investigation action items, and

• Update incident investigation procedures.


18. Measurements and metrics
• Collect and report all Process safety performance metrics data as per
procedure,
• Discuss all Leading and lagging events of process safety events, and
• Identify the gap, discover the reasons and scheduled an improvement plan.
19. Auditing
• Participate and develop process safety audit,

• Identify the gaps in performance and track closure of these


gaps to completion, and

• Recommend to more improvement.


20. Management review &
continuous improvement
• Participate management reviews,

• Follow up and closeout all recommended actions.
