The significance of the

study
• The significance of your
research is not always apparent
to the reader.

•It tells your reader why the

study is valuable, what it
contributes, and why the reader
should devote time on reading it.
• To establish the significance of your study,
there are three basic questions we need to
consider:

1. Why is the study important?

2. What are the implications of
conducting this research?
3. To whom will it be important?
• If you have many beneficiaries, write the
following:

1st : Importance of the study

2nd : Main beneficiary
3rd : Secondary beneficiary
4th : Importance to the proponents
and future researchers
Scope and delimitations of
the study
• is a short section where you
clarify what your study covers
based on your research topic.

•It sets boundaries and

parameters of the problem.
SCOPE
• It recall your research questions
and statement of the problem.
• Basically means all those things
that will be covered in the research
study.
• “The coverage of this study is …”
• “This study addresses …”

delimitation
• is a process that gives researchers
control to limit the scope of
the data included in their
investigation.
What is the difference
between limitation and
delimitation in research?
