Hollow core slab
γG = 1.00 and shear forces.
γQ = 1.00................ Subject to: 9. Design flexural reinforcement.
2. Assess actions on slabs: 10. Check deflection.
• Self weight + Dead loads Gk ψ0 ⋅ - combination value
ψ1 ⋅- frequent value. 11. Check shear capacity.
• Live loads Qk,N 12. Check spacing of bars.
or ψ2 ⋅- quasi-permanent value
If it’s a roof slab
• Snow Load Qk,S
5. Assess durability requirements and determine concrete strength
• Assess the crack control wk and the preliminary calculations.

Calculus example:
ΣγG*Gk,j + γG * Qk,1 + Σ γQ * ψ0,i * Qk,i
ψ0,i = 0.7
Qk,s = 1.7 kN/m2 * 1.0m = 1.7 kN/m
Gk = 0.25 m * 25 kN/m3 * 1.0 m = 6.25 kN/m
GkA = 2.8 kN/m2 * 1.0 m = 2.8 kN/m
γG = 1.35
γQ = 1.50

Σ = 1.35 * 6.25 + 1.35 * 2.8 + 1.5 * 1.7 = 14.80 kN/m
