On this day we praise

you, O God, for the joys

and tears and for the
breath of life. On this
day we thank you, O
God, serving you and
all men is enough
reward.
Kindle in us the fire of
your love, and your
spirit take not from us.
From the dark and the
evil of the night, bring
us to the dawn with
your everlasting light.
