 Background of Study

 Poverty conditions can be a driver for women to run a business.

 In Indonesia, Micro and Small Business Enterprises (MSE)

INTRODUCT managed by women are around 42.84% of the total MSEs

(Tambunan, 2019).

ION  Lack of capital is a major barrier since it makes women afraid to

take risks (Raguntashi, 2017).

 This study therefore examines the possibility of poor housewives

becoming entrepreneurs in case they are given capital and
education facilities.

 Much attention has recently been directed to poverty

alleviations in rural areas. In contrast, the government has
neglected the issue of poverty in urban areas.

Literature Review  Studies show that support through microcredit is beneficial for
increasing women's income (Ferdousi & Mahmud, 2019).

 It is vital to study the state of women in poverty lines in urban

areas

RESULTS AND
DISCUSSION

 Casson (1982) described the character of entrepreneurs as their

ability to make decisions under limited resources.

 Most women entrepreneurs are just traders who only help their
husbands or cover their daily needs.
Women’s
Entrepreneurshi  They are not able to expand their business.
p
 Providing support through SMF and education is not enough to
make all housewives entrepreneurs.

 The provision of loan facilities through SMF and Islamic

economic education has not shown significant results on
improving the entrepreneurial abilities of housewives.

 This experimental study is still in the premature stage in terms

CONCLUS of
1. observation time and the amount of finances in the social

ION funding
2. Islamic economic education for housewives lasts for a short time

 Future research should also measure psychological factors,

including interest, intelligence, and conflicting roles.
