WRITING

Part 1 You have 20 minutes to write an email. Write 80–130 words. You recently went on a school trip with your English class.
First read the email about the school trip. Then write an email to Mrs Townsend, including the three notes you have made.

Dear Mrs Townsend,

Thank you for your email.

The trip to the museum was amazing/very interesting because it was an opportunity to improve my English
vocabulary/my level of English as I was able to interact with my colleagues in that language. We learnt many
things about the authors.
The guide gave us a lot of information about the objects exhibited/about the exhibition. We also practised our
speaking with each other.
The only thing that could be better is the transport: next time, instead of using the public bus we could hire/rent
a coach as that would shorten our journey.
Also I think all the students should take their own food and not spend time waiting in the restaurant.
Unfortunately, I can’t go to the trip because/as I’ll be abroad next week because/as my father has got some work
to do in France.
I would like to suggest a day out walking in the National Park and later having a pic-nic.
We could also spend the day on the beach where we could do water activities.

Please tell me if you change the date.

All the best, Sam
