 INTRODUCING ONESELF AND OTHERS

When we meet with someone new or we just move to another

environment, we will need to know other person. We can introduce our
self to others by using introduction expression. We also introducing our
friend to others using some introduction expression, before we practice
it we should mastering introduction expression then we can socialize
with others
Introducing Yourself
Below are expressions used to introduce yourself:
1. Hello, I am…
2. My name is…
3. I am … Whats your name?
4. I would like to introduce myself. My name is…
5. Let me introduce myself. I am ….
6. Good morning. My name is…

THEN, HOW TO RESPONE THESE EXPRESSIONS?

We can response by saying:

1. hello… nice to meet you.

3. Good afternoon. I am … How do you do?
4. How are you? I am … pleased to meet you.
We can introduce other people by using these
expressions:

Introducing can also formed in a written text. However, common introduction
text consist of :

5. School : I go to school at…/ I studied at…/I was graduate from…

Example 1:
Good Morning Everybody, I would like to introduce myself. My name is
Hindayani. I am from Tuban, East Java. The city of Semen Gresik and
Holcim Factory. I was born in Tuban, 22nd Mei 1992.
I have young brother, his name is Kukuh Prayogi. He is a strong and
smart boy.
My Hobby is reading and writing. I like writing a short story and a
poem. I have a special dream. I want to be a writer and publish many
books. I hope I can be a good friend. Thank you for the time
I guess that’s all I can say about my self. Thankyou very much for your
attention. I would like to express my gratitude.
Example 2
Wafa : “Hi There. I don’t think we’ve met. I am Wafa”
Ahmed : “Hi Wafa. My name is Ahmed”
Wafa : “Hello Ahmed. So, what do you know our friend Luke?
Ahme: “Oh, Luke and I often to work together at bookstore”
Wafa: “oh. So, you have work together in ‘ Hoth Bookstore’.
Ahmed: “ That’s right. How do you know Luke?”
Wafa: “ Actually, Luke is My Brother”
Ahmed: “Oh. I see. You two look alike”.
