The Seven habits

of a Godly Life
Habit
 Is a recurring often
unconscious pattern of
behavior that is require
through a frequent
repetition
Are you a Godly
person?

 It’s a life no longer

seeking satisfaction
through a sinful
lifestyle, but is now
surrendered to GOD and
HIS will for our life.
1. First habit is a life
of prayer

 Mark 1:35-37 35  Very early in the

morning, while it was still dark,
Jesus got up, left the house and
went off to a solitary place, where
he prayed.  36  Simon and his
companions went to look for
him,  37  and when they found him,
they exclaimed: “Everyone is
looking for you!”
You can’t live a
Godly life unless
you have a good
prayer life.

You can’t because we live

in a world of temptation,
trials, heart aches, burdens
and sin.
2. Trust or Faith

 Psalms 103:19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,

and his kingdom rules over all.

 (This will give us awesome foundation to believe HIM)

How many of us fret
about things?

 Fret- When you fret, you worry so

much about something that it eats
away at you. Many people fret about
taking standardized tests, but really,
they're nothing to sweat. Fret comes
from the Old English word freton
which means to devour like an
animal. When you fret over
something, it consumes your
thoughts.
3. Meditation on
the Word of GOD
What does it mean to
medidate?

 I read it

 I think about it

 I search my heart in the light of

what GOD is saying.

 I ask HIM what ever questions I

have on my mind.

 I surrender what ever HE brings to

my mind.
Meditation makes us

 Fresh

 Aware, alert and sensitive to

GOD’s will

 Concern and worries drift away

 Helps you not be contaminated

of this world
4. Obey GOD

 Deuteronomy 27:10 (New International Version)

 10  Obey the LORD your God and follow his commands

and decrees that I give you today.”

 Deuteronomy 28:1 (New International Version)

 Blessings for Obedience

 28 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully

follow all his commands I give you today,
the LORD your God will set you high above all the
nations on earth.
What will happen if we obey GOD?
 When you and I obey GOD we walk on a higher level.

 To follow HIM means you live on a higher level.

 Our lifestyle is better than the lifestyle of the world.

What is greatest threat to your obedience to GOD?
what is that temptation, trials or what ever is going on that just threatens your desire or your
willingness, or you think your capacity to obey GOD?

The reason we don’t do things that are absolutely sacred , Godly, awesome, life-changing,
lifting habits is because we’ve is because we decided to choose the world’s way.
5. Dependance upon
the Holy Spirit

 Ephesians 5:18 (New International Version)

 18  Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.

Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

 What does it mean to get filled?

 To have, consume, or experience as much (of

something) as one desires or is able to. Make sure
you get your fill of cake—we made plenty for
everyone! I've gotten my fill of people giving me
advice about my love life.
Believe that the Holy spirit sealed you as a Child of GOD
 Ephesians 1:13 (New International Version)

 13
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel
of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised
Holy Spirit,

 “You need the direction of the Holy spirit”

6. Giving to GOD and
to others

 Luke 6:38

 New International Version

 38  Give, and it will be given to

you. A good measure, pressed
down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into
your lap. For with the measure
you use, it will be measured to
you.”
7. Forgiving other
people

 Ephesians 4:26-27 (New King James

Version)

 26  “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the

sun go down on your wrath,  27  nor give  [a
] place to the devil.

 Warning: Do not give the devil an

opportunity to lead you into sin.
Forgive just like how CHRIST forgiven your sin.
 Ephesians 4:30-32

 New International Version

 30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption.  31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with
every form of malice.  32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God forgave you.
