Heterogeneous

Mixture
By:

James Caleb C. Tuazon

A mixture in which you can easily
distinguish the components or ingredients
is called a heterogeneous mixture.

A heterogeneous mixture is simply

any mixture that is not uniform in
composition - it's a non-uniform mixture of
smaller constituent parts
Heterogeneous Mixture in

NATURE
There are a lot of
heterogeneous mixtures
that occur naturally

Some of them are soil, sand and

rocks…
HUMAN-MADE

Heterogeneous Mixtures
Mixtures do not only
occur naturally. They can
also be made from existing
ingredients

For example, concrete mix has

following ingredients: cements,
sand gravel and water.
MEDICINAL

Mixtures
Medicines have an
active ingredient.

This ingredient possesses the

healing component of the medicine
and is given out according to the
need of the person or the patient.
FACT!

There are many types of heterogeneous mixtures

depending on the type of matter composing them. Some
are a mix of solid and liquid, like cereals in milk. Some
are gas-liquid mixtures, like aerosol, while some are
solid-gas mixtures, like smoke.
