What is a sentence?

A sentence is a group of words that

make complete sense. It always begins

with a capital letter and ends with

either a full stop or a question mark.


A statement is a sentence which gives us
information. It ends with a full stop.

Example:
1. This is my notebook.
2. We are good children.
A sentence that asks something is called
a question. It ends with a question mark.

Example:

1. What is your name?

2. Have you washed your hands?
