INTEGRATION IDEA
• A good lesson to integrate Google
Drawings in is a lesson where you’re
talking about comparisons
– First, you’d direct your students
to google drawings
– Then instruct your students to
create Venn-Diagram and label it
for example comparing the book
you read to the class to the
movie.
– Then you can have your students
fill out their boxes individually
– Then you can go over everyone’s
differences and similarities in a
group discussion
• In addition, you can have
everyone upload their
drawings to a google slide
and share it with you if you
want to turn this
assignment into a
presentation.

Another good lesson to integrate Google

Drawings into is a lesson in Geography. This
would probably be geared towards older kids.

• If you’re teaching the states of the United

States, you create a lesson where they
have to label the states you assigned
them.

• You can provide your students with a

map of United States template and have
them insert it into their google drawings
doc.

• Then assign them their states and allow

them time to label.

There are many different ways you can label

in google drawings so you can leave that up
to your students or you can tell them a
specific way you want it.
SO WHY USE GOOGLE DRAWINGS?

Overall, Google Drawings is a good app to use as a teacher or with your students in a classroom
activity. It’s very useful to use to create your own diagrams or displays to share with your class that
you couldn’t find anywhere else. Since there’s the free hand draw tool you can really get creative
with what you draw and since you can use the shapes tool you don’t have to worry about being a
decent illustrator.
Also since Google Drawings is a part of google it’s very easy to save and insert your picture to one
of the other applications. This makes using it more convenient and ,since the app has very similar
tools to the other applications, many of your students will already understand the basics of using
this app which will save a lot of time in classroom instruction.
