We use the possessive’s structure most
often to talk about something that
belongs to a particular persons, group,
organization, conuntry or animal.
(Reason 1) When using an apostrophe for
possession, put it in the right place.

My mother’s son is my brother. (El hijo de mi madre es mi hermano)
My father’s sister is my aunt (La hermana de mi padre es mi tía)
My grandfather’s only son is my father (El único hijo de mi abuelo es mi padre)
My brother’s wife is my sister-in-law (La novia de mi hermano es mi cuñada)
