What is Multimedia?
DEFINITITION:
Multimedia is any combination of text, graphic,
sound, animation and video delivered to the user
by computer or other electronic or digitally
manipulated means.
Multimedia are related with GUI, which is
where multimedia elements are implemented
in order to make better GUI .
INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA
Interactive multimedia refers to the ability to
control these components and interact with them
as needed.
OR
When you allowed an end user to control what
and when the elements are delivered.

The use of both Interactive or Non Interactive Multimedia are benificial to have good interface that will contribute to a better
Human Computer Interaction.
Why use Multimedia?
Studies shown that humans get information and
retain it in this ways.
▸ 10% of what we see
▸ 20% of what we heard
▸ 50% of what we heard and see
▸ 80% of what we heard, see and do
Therefore multimedia is a better way to present
information than single media element.
