This is the original picture that I will be editing for the magazine cover.
First thing that I did was adjust the brightness and contrast of the photo. This makes the picture look
warmer and allows the model to stand out in the photo.
Using the quick selection tool I carefully selected the portions of his hair I wanted coloured. Then I
edited the hue/Saturation in order to give his hair a purple look.
By taking a lens flare image and removing the background then adding it to his wrist watch I effectively gave the watch an almost
golden shine.
First I retrieved this image of the Hollister logo from the internet. Then I removed the background with the magic wand tool and eraser and changed the colour in the
blending options. Once I was happy with the colour I put the image eon the left side of his Jacket.i also reduced the opacity so that it blend in with the jacket. This
creates a branded look
Using the quick selection tool I managed to remove the model from the background. Now im free to add whatever background I
see fit.
Using the gradient tool I created a background I felt was suitable. The gradient creates a fade from orange to yellow.
