BEHAVIOR DEVELOPMENT AMONG ELEMENTARY PUPILS RESERCHER PANAL, JAY ANGEL Q. BAYUBAY, MARY JOY B. SABORDO, ELYN C. BEED 3B In the other hand, to Eastern Washington university, Signal Interference is a nonverbal Intervention that communicates that a behavior is not appropriate. It is helpful during instruction, because it lets the student who The environment of elementary education has been is misbehaving know that their behavior is not okay, yet it changing over the years. This study will elucidate us and other future teachers the importance of using signal interference in the behavior and character formation of the pupils. The study intends to use the phenomenological approach under qualitative research. The purpose of this study is to know the effects of teachers signal interference power to the pupils’ behavior. The researchers aim to explore how the signal interfere power of the teacher affects the behavior of the pupils inside the classroom. Significance of the Study By conducting this research, teachers and students, will benefit from it, for it will contribute to have an effective teaching strategy. •The Teachers •The Students •The Parents The Future Researcher Definition of Terms The following terms used in this study are defined conventionally for clarity and a common frame of reference. •Signal Interference Power •Nonverbal Communications •Teacher •Student •Behavior •Signal •Body Language This phenomenological study will be conducted to know the effects of the teacher signal interference power in the behavior of the learners specially in the elementary level.
1. What are the struggles in using signal interference power in
disciplining the behavior of the pupils? 2. What are the effects to the behavior of pupils when you use signal interference power in the classroom? 3. What are your insight in using the signal interference power in managing your classroom? This theory is anchored to Applied Behavior Analysis Theory (1968) previously known as Behavior Modification. This theory is popularized by Baer, Wolf, & Risley, according to them, “Applied Behavior Analysis Theory is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement in behavior“. The researchers want to emphasize that signal interference is one of the interventions applied by the teachers in order to minimize or control the behaviors of the students. We also desire to expose that signal interference has a big impact in teacher’s classroom management practices; and it can help also in developing the behavior of the pupils. The researchers will use Qualitative approach in research which involves collecting and analyzing non-numerical data an example of these are text, video and audio to understand concepts, opinions, or experiences. The issue that will focus of these phenomenological study, are the effects of teacher signal interference power in the behavior development among elementary students. The researchers will conduct this study at Pasian Elementary school and the teachers of the said school will serve as the respondents in this study. The researchers will use variety of methods such as focus group discussion that consist of 7 participants only and in depth interview that also consist of 7 participants a total of 14. In the delimitations we have only a small number of participants, so their voices will not be generalizable, and they will only provide responses from memory during the interview, so they will not be able to explain actual and real experiences.
