Why internet information may

not be reliable
• Search engines might give websites
that are not up-to-date and might have
no longer valid information.
• Anyone can post anything on the
internet and the information could be
biased or inaccurate.

How to evaluate website content

• A website might be unreliable if the
date on which is it last updated is old.
• If the website has a lot of
advertisements then it is probably
unreliable as it might be made only to
gain clicks on their ads.
