Pronunciation?
Pronunciation is the production
of sounds that is used for
making meaning (Yates: 2002 as
cited in Pourhosein Gilakjani,
2016).

The main goal of pronunciation instruction is to

speaker, but in simple terms so that students can
pronounce words accurately and can be
understood by the interlocutor (Morley: 1991).

different sounds and sound features but also
improve their speaking skill. (Harmer: 2001).

In Pronunciation Instruction, teachers do not only
teach but also facilitate learners’ learning
pronunciation. The role of teachers is like a coach,
a speech coach, and a pronunciation coach
(Morley: 1991).
