There is a problem in the lack of integration among all the dimensions


of sexuality.
We also get into what society and gender dictates, but not realizing the
depth of sexuality inherent in every person.

Sexuality has different dimensions:


 Physical: the usual focus; we get stuck only on what the body is
 Mental
 Emotional
 Social/relational
 Moral/Spiritual

WAYS OF EXPRESSIONS….
- sa lesbiana, may tibong-tibo (itsura at kilos
lalaki)
- meron namang babaeng-babae (femme)
pero may atraksyon sa kapwa babae
- sa bakla, bading, merong nagbibihis at kilos
babae
- merong matipuno at kilos lalaki

Sa mga gay at lesbian couples, hindi kailangan may

IS IT LOVE OR IS IT LUST????
 Love is more than having an intense longing and sexual
desire for a person.

 While a lot of factors are involved in the process of love, there are
also interrelated neurochemical processes in the brain
that contribute to the feelings of love.

 the basic sex drive or libido

 It is an urge or a strong sexual desire that motivates


a person to take part in sexual activity

 More of a physical attraction toward a person

Lust is basically driven by testosterone hormone in males and estrogen hormones in


females.

ATTRACTION
• also known as passionate/obsessive love
• the short-lived second stage of falling in love involves focusing and
giving attention to a particular person
• leads to pursuing of a specific potential partner
 caused by neurotransmitters in the brain:
 dopamine,
 norepinephrine
 serotonin

ATTACHMENT
• the final stage of love

• There is a feeling of deep devotion and longing to be with the loved


person for a long time.

• primarily characterized by feelings of calmness, security, social comfort


and emotional union (Fisher, 1994)
• caused by the hormones oxytocin and vasopressin

– differentiate how men and women communicate; who talks more; type of words used

- type of emotions being expressed; difference in empathy

– meaning of work for men and women; distribution of work; predominant careers/work
Gender Differences in Domestic or Household Work
– distribution of household chores; types of chores; differences in nurturing
