Notes

• Application titles at the top indicate which applications

each feature was implemented.

Department Daimler Trucks 2

Engine State Added to Injector Codes Panel

• Engine state is now displayed on the

Injector Code panels and is Green
when codes can be written (Engine
Stop)
• Write button will only be enabled
when Engine is Stopped.

Department Daimler Trucks 3

New Charts Added for MY13 Panels

• We now have defined MY13 versions of chart selection files for several panels, making it
easier for the technician to follow all of the instruments of a panel in the Chart instrument.

Department Daimler Trucks 4

Original Parameter Setting as a Tooltip for Parameter
Changes

• When a parameter value is changed, the original value of the parameter will displayed as a
tooltip until the values are sent. This will allow the technician to reference the previous
value and correct an inadvertent change.

Department Daimler Trucks 5

Tooltip for Missing Signal Values

• The missing signal icon (yellow triangle) will now display a tooltip containing
information about why the signal is missing.
• This will allow all users to quickly identify the source of the problem and take
appropriate action.

Department Daimler Trucks 6

Drumroll Summary File Content Updated

• Drumroll Summary was not ordering the session information by date.

• This made finding session information unnecessarily difficult.
• Solution was implemented to present session information in chronological order.

Department Daimler Trucks 7

Panel Visibility Option

• Toolbar button allows access to filter

list that shows available filtering
options
• Selections are saved between sessions
• An indication of the number of
viewable panels is shown in the
toolbar next to the Filter icon.

Changes to Advanced Diagnostics
Two new fields in the ADR Feedback Form

• Additional Time Needed

for Repair and reason
• Did the Advanced
Diagnostic Session Lead
to the Correct Repair
• These results are added to
the ADR Report

Changes to Advanced Diagnostics
Repair Time Information in Report

• Additional Time Needed

for Repair and reason
• Did the Advanced
Diagnostic Session Lead
to the Correct Repair
• These results are added to
the ADR Report

Notifications Added to Main View Buttons
• The main view buttons now have the ability
to show notifications to the user. Each
notification is a count of item.
• This is implemented for the Fault Codes
button and the Parameters button.
• The Fault Codes button will highlight the
number of actionable faults reported by the
connected vehicle.
• The Parameters button will highlight the
number of unsent parameter changes.

Tool to Always Attempt to Load Log Files
• Previously, if the tool encountered a
log file containing data recorded
with a diagnostic variant that it did
not understand, the log file could not
be loaded.
• This situation could happen when
loading data into an older version of
the tool than which it was recorded
with, or when loading data recorded
with prototype CBF files (e.g. from
RG).
• Now, the tool will attempt to locate
the nearest variant, and load the data
with reference to that variant.

Predictive Cruise Control Diagnostic Panel
• Originally added in 7.10
• A panel was added to diagnose whether the
CPC is correctly configured for PCC
(predictive cruise control) operation.
• The dialog will show a warning when there
is a conflict between the presence of data-
link traffic, and the configuration of the
CPC.
• The dialog allows the user to change the
CPC configuration, in case it was not set
correctly.
• Parameter can also still be changed in the
Parameters Panel; this option just makes it
easier to access.

Show “no data” Warning
• In order to mirror some of the DLM (Data Link Monitor)
functionality that will be implemented for the integrated
tool, some features were added to our controls.
• These will mostly not be seen until 8.0, when those vehicle
panels will be released to the field.
• One feature already present is the warning when data is not
present.
• This is shown when the ECU is not communicating the
content.
• This warning may appear in the graphical controls or in the
instrumentation list.

Department Daimler Trucks 14

Find Functionality Across Multiple Tabs
• The Find functionality in the search bar has
been expanded to search other tabs within
the same view.
• It also allows searching within graphical
controls (previously not possible)

Compare Parameter Screen Filters the Second Source
According to the Selection of the First Source

• The selected live connected first source will filter the second source’s choices as well as
clear the second source if it's different than the first source’s type.
• If one selects "History File" in the First and Second source then selects, say, two CPC
files all is good. But, one would be able to re-select an MCM history file within the first
source and be able to compared it to the CPC file in the second source. Now, if one
does so the second source would be cleared.

Transmission Gear Split Range Activation Panel
Update: Function to Return Vehicle Control to the
User
• When the user starts any
routine on this panel, it will
not close until the user clicks
the “Return Control” button.
• The “Return Control” button
will set the:
o Desired gear = 0
o Splitposiiton = 2
Keep/GearMode
o Range = 2
Keep/GearMode

Perform Performance Check - Low Temp ATD
Routine
• Originally added in 7.10
• When the “Perform Performance Check - Low Temp ATD” routine is selected it will call the
service routine "SR018 Disable HC Doser: Start" then run the current Share Procedure
"Perform Parked Regeneration".
• After Low Temp ATD routine is executed the service route is now stopped after 30 minutes.

Department Daimler Trucks 18

Virtual Technician Panel: Remove 2 signals for VT-
HU
• The newer VT-Hu units no longer use the GSM State and Removable Memory
Status fields.
• When GSM State and Removable Memory Status is available it will be displayed
for older units.

Department Daimler Trucks 19

Additional Fixes

• Automatic Cylinder Cutout (Series 60) Panel Fix

• The Automatic Cylinder Cutout panels will now correctly enable all cylinders if the
test is canceled by the user before the test completes.
• Two Obsolete Panels Removed
• FIS Leak Detection panel
• Fan Diagnostic panel
• Obsolete Tool Parameter Change Disabling
• The tool will now prevent a user from changing parameters if the CBF file does not
fully support the connected ECU.
• This prevents any unintended or undocumented effects from changing unknown
diagnostic content in the connected device.
