Purpose
The purpose of this document is to show the reconstructed option screens for the
P&H shovel’s GUI application and supply a description of each item.
Discussion
The option screens have been reconstructed in attempts to show a more user friendly
view. Some options have also been slightly re-written for better clarification to its
function. The main option screen that you are familiar with is now divided up into
two main screens. These two main screens are further divided into special
classifications, refer to figure 1 and figure 2.
Figure 1
Track Shield
Activation of Track Shield system and associated system monitoring software.
Enables communication between the AC800 and the Track Shield embedded
computer system. Also enables the Swing Resolver hardware fault enunciation code.
Payload
Activation of Payload system and associated system monitoring software. Enables
communication between AC800 and the Payload embedded computer system.
Payload Reporter
Activates software in the GUI to transfer the database file to the Payload Reporter
server. This database file contains all data critical to payload. Ensure that the
Payload Reporter server is running properly before activating this option. The
Payload option is a prerequisite for this option.
Swing Calibration
Allows for calibration of the swing resolver via the GUI. This option is a prerequisite
for the Track Shield option.
ShovelLink II
Opens communication connection between the GUI and the ShovelLink II server.
This allows for the viewing of flow charts, parts books, trending and schematics via
the GUI. Note that the ShovelLink II server must be installed and functional before
activating this option.
RHM
This is currently not tied to anything in the AC800 application. Note that the Remote
Health Monitoring data recording hardware must be installed on the shovel for this
option.
Vibration Monitor
A new vibration monitoring system will be installed on Shovel (both AC and DC).
The vibration system will read data from PH OPC DanServer via AC800 OPC server.
The option will make a button available on the GUI to allow the operator to start the
vibration testing procedure. Also the option will prompt the Centurion GUI to start
the DanServer.
Power Monitor
When the option is enabled, the GUI will display General Power Information coming
from the power meter.
Miscellaneous
Refer to figure 1 for the following items.
AccuWay Interface
Flanders Payload System. Activates software that transmits data to their third party
system via Profibus.
Retrofit Options
Refer to figure 1 for the following items.
AirScrubPro Option
Enables AirScrubPro functionality. Make sure AirScrubPro is installed before
activating this option.
Fragmentation Camera
Enables software that will allow a camera to take pictures of the bank face. Also
enables a GUI screen for calibrating/setup of the camera trigger point.
OptiDig II Enabled
Enables OptiDig II.
RPC Monitor
Enables RPC Monitor function. See section RPC Monitor for further details.
No TripRite system
TripRite system software disabled.
Quick Transfer En
Enable quick transfer software. Before activating this feature verify the following
signals in the parameter file via drive window:
- Signal 4.02 should equal 15623h.
- Signal 4.03 should equal PH_F_Dxx where xx is the revision level of the
firmware. The PH_F_D is the indication that you have quick transfer.
Propel Boost
If enabled, the operator will be allowed to activate this function via the GUI that will
provide a 10% increase in current limits for the propel motors. The increased current
limits only apply when propelling strait forward or backward. The boost is active for
1 minute intervals, and the operator cannot exceed 20 boosts within a 12hr time
interval.
Figure 3
Note: That this option screen is made available only by the selection of option “Fire
Suppression System”. A button to the right of “Fire Suppression System” option will be
enabled allowing you to open this screen when selected, refer to the miscellaneous
section of figure 1.
RH Room Alarm
Enables monitoring of input signal for right hand room fire alarm. When selected,
alarm “FireSystem – Right Hand Room Alarm” will be triggered when the input goes
low.
Bypass switch
Enables monitoring of input signal system bypass switch. When selected, alarm
“FireSystem – System Bypass” will be triggered when the input goes low.
Shutdown Activation
Enables monitoring of the shutdown signal from the fire system. When selected, the
machine will perform a 30s shutdown if the input goes low and the system is not
bypassed.
Figure 4
Lube system = 3-pump/3-zone
Enables software to operate and monitor a Lincoln lube system that has three pumps
and three zones. The zones that will be controlled and monitored are the upper,
lower, and open gear zones.
Farval
Enables software to operate and monitor a Farval lube system that has three pumps
and three zones. The zones that will be controlled and monitored are the upper,
lower, and open gear zones. Option “Lube System = 3-Pump / 3-Zone” must be
selected in order for this to work properly. The difference between the Farval and
Lincoln system is the valve assembly. The Farval system uses a reversing valve
assembly as oppose to the venting valve assembly used for the Lincoln system.
Filtration Level
Selection for the installed filter size. When selected, the filter differential pressure is
monitored.
Figure 5
Special RPC
2-300F,4-450S
Enables the proper operation of the RPC system when the machine is equipped
with two 300 KVAR fixed banks, four 450 KVAR switched banks and no ½
banks. This configuration was first applied on KH0023.
2-1/2,1-FullS
Enables the proper operation of the RPC system when the machine is equipped
with two ½ banks switched and one full bank switched. This configuration was
first applied on ES2370 and ES2371.
Figure 6
Bank Configuration
Enter the bank sizes for the banks present. See the electrical schematics for further
details.
Complete Test
Triggers complete automatic test of the RPC system following the shovel start in run
mode.
Partial Test
Test for conducting branches in the RPC following a shovel start in run mode.
Test Trigger Time and Day
Figure 8
Zero Offset
Resolver offset from the physical limit. Used to trigger the zero speed region to the
motion exceeding the limit. Based in resolver counts of the motion limited (i.e. hoist
limit zero offset in hoist resolver counts). This parameter is modifiable but do NOT
set it lower then default, only increase the value if collisions are occurring.
Warning Offset
Resolver offset from the zero speed limit. Used to trigger the slow down region to
the motion entering the limit. Based in resolver counts of the motion limited. This
parameter is modifiable but do NOT set it lower then default, only increase the value
if the motion does not stop in time for the zero speed command.
Absolute Limit
Resolver counts identifying the position of a physical limit (i.e. boom, sheaves, etc.).
Zero Limit
Resolver counts identifying the start of the zero speed region.
Warning Limit
Resolver counts identifying the start of the slow down region.
