Detection for Small Crossed Pairs
Small Crossed Paires Serviceability solution before installation

Definition: Color label to define the sequence of jumper installation:

A small crossed pair occurs when an inter-module channel cross occurs between 1. All cable connected to antenna port had been defined clearly
the RXU and antenna, as shown in the right figure. 2.Before installation, all jumper will be installed on RRU and marked with color ring under tower .
A large crossed pair occurs if the antennas or modules corresponding to the
sectors cross between the RXU and antenna.

Serviceability solution after installation

Remote detection:
Remote detection(MML:STR CROSFEEDTST) OFSmall crossed
pairs of antenna systems can be detected by U2000 after the
site on air
The capture is the example for the detection result :
Result NORMAL means there is no crossfeeder.

Transmission Bandwidth Requirements
 Compared with the 2T3S, the 4T6S has higher requirements on the transmission bandwidth. considering that the 4T6S
has a double gain compared with the 2T3S,the peak transmission bandwidth of 2T3S can be used as the basic
requirement for the 4T6S transmission bandwidth.
 Eg : The total transmit/receive bandwidth is 1000000.00kbps. The maximum transmit/receive peak rate is
49350176.00bps. If the peak rate is *2<, the total transmit/receive bandwidth is 49350176.00bps*2<1000000.00kbps,
therefore, the transmission bandwidth requirement can be met.

Acceptance: Coverage Expectations for Drive Tests
• RSRP: Given that single-channel power remains unchanged, the average RSRP of 4T6S/2T6S is not lower than that of 2T3S.
• SINR: The following table lists the 4T6S vs 4T3S and 2T6S vs 2T3S SINR changes.
 After splitting, co-channel interference increases with the number of sectors, causing the SINR to decrease. However, the network load
decreases after splitting, causing the SINR to increase. The SINR change depends on the amount of interference increase and that of
load decrease.
 In light load scenarios, the network load decreases to a small extent after splitting, and the interference of split sectors prevails.
Therefore, the average SINR will decrease.
 In heavy load scenarios, the network load decreases noticeably after splitting, and this almost offsets the interference of split sectors.
Therefore, the decrease in the average SINR is insignificant.

Scenario Scenario Description Impact

The busy-hour PRB usage is less than 50% The SINR decreases by 1 dB to
Light load
before splitting. 2 dB after splitting.

The busy-hour PRB usage is not less than 50% The SINR decreases by 0 dB to
Heavy load before splitting, and traffic can be distributed after 1 dB, virtually the same after
splitting. splitting.

The busy-hour PRB usage is not less than 80%

Extremely before splitting, and suppressed traffic is released The SINR decreases by 1 dB to
heavy load after splitting. However, the network load is still 2 dB after splitting.
heavy (average PRB > 70% after splitting).

Acceptance: KPIs
• Acceptance principles: Collect hourly data of at least one week before and after splitting, and use tools such as FMA and
PRS to measure KPIs.
• Expected result (User-plane intermediate KPIs may deteriorate, but overall user experience and traffic volume improve.):
 The busy-hour values of basic KPIs are stable, and the absolute values of these KPIs during off-peak hours deteriorate by 0.1%–0.3%.
These KPIs include the RRC setup success rate, E-RAB setup success rate, service drop rate, and handover success rate.
 Due to the increase in cell interference, the absolute value of CQI decreases by 0–2, that of MCS index decreases by 1–3, and that of
rank 2 ratio decreases by 10%–20%.
