Introduction
o Surveillance is the process of monitoring a situation, an area, or a
person. This generally occurs in a military scenario where
surveillance of borderlines and enemy territory is essential to a
country’s safety.
o The robot is controlled by Android mobile application through
Bluetooth module. It is built with servo motors, DC Motors, Arduino
uno controller and attached with Wi-Fi IP Camera for monitoring and
GPS module for tracking location

Introduction
Objectives

To design and develop of a Surveillance Robot.

To analyze the different approach and the performance of
the Surveillance Robot.

Years Title

1. J. Azeta et.al sustainable The robot consists of a video camera and wi-
(2019) surveillance robot fi robot link. The robot can be remotely
controlled using the Wi-Fi module and a
microcontroller, smart phone interface
embedded on the robot.

2. Mayur et.al surveillance vehicle This vehicle used to monitor inaccessible or

(2018) hazardous areas. In this project, a vehicle is
controlled and monitored using a tailored
Android Application

3. Diksha et.al surveillance robot This robot with the facility of real time video
(2017) streaming, audio transfer and ability to avoid
obstacles in the process. The system will be
designed as such to stream the video live to
the person monitoring the bot.

Observation Table: 4.1 Number of Test Cases Success/Failed

First observation launching the project and within 7-times success but 2 time failed.
Because a DC motor was not rotating properly. For that the robot could not go through
straight line. Second observation launching the project and within 13-times success but 1
time failed. Because the GPS module could not connect to the Satellite properly because
of confined space. That’s why we were not getting the signal. In third observation
launching the project within 20 times success and no failed.

APPLICATIONS

Home automation gives you access to control devices in your home from a mobile device
anywhere in the world. The term may be used for isolated programmable devices, like
thermostats and sprinkler systems, but home automation more accurately describes homes
in which remotely controllable network.

Military Applications Military applications of mobile robotics are gaining more popularity
and the design of robots with more payload capacity is very important in the battlefield. The
weight of the robot can be divided into two parts: the weight of the machine and the payload
capacity can be higher.

Hostage Rescue Hostage rescue is the search for and provision of aid to people who are in
distress or imminent danger. The general field of search and rescue includes many specialty
sub-fields, typically determined by the type of terrain the search is conducted over water.

Results & Discussion
Advantages
• Faster and Stronger than: Surveillance Robot is built to work faster and stronger.
The vehicle and camera can move faster and smoothly.
• User Friendly: This robot is easy to operate using android mobile app. Not a need
high skilled to operate this robot.
• Safety and Comfort: Surveillance Robot can undertake tasks that would pose a
health hazard to human workers and therefore maintaining the safety levels at
maximum.
• Command and Control: Surveillance Robot can be able to use it control functions
to simulate a number of responses to its environment.
• Low Power Consumption: This robot has low power consumption.
Limitation
• This system is very costly.
• There would be that this implementation of robots into people’s lives will cause
a shift in their social ability and willingness.

Conclusion & Recommendation
Conclusion

Overall, the objectives of this thesis have been achieved which are developing
the hardware and software for Arduino uno base Surveillance Robot, moves
so smoothly, monitoring any objects by moving camera and tracking the
location from GPS of the robot that meets the standards of purpose thesis.
From the analysis that has been made, it is clearly shows that vehicle moves
to any direction, getting the live video footage and tracking the google map
position. We have successfully implemented the working of the wireless video
surveillance robot controlled using an android mobile device. The robot is
successfully controlled using the android application through wireless
Bluetooth technology. Even the real-time video feel is successfully achieved
using the Wi-Fi technology on our designed android application.

Recommendations

In the future, we plan to implement our project as follows-

It will contain the following 3 components:

 ► A headset, with a full HD display.

 ► A High Mega Pixel Monitoring camera

 ► A mission control center.
