Replacing hardware units

Replacing a BCN module

Change the states of the functional units on the faulty BCN module
Change the states of the PCUM, ETME, and ETMA units

ZUSC:Unit,Index:TE;
ZUSC:Unit,Index:SE;
ZUSC:Unit,Index:SE;
If the BCN module contains an OMU unit, change the state of the OMU unit.
ZUSC:OMU:TE;
If the BCN module contains a hard disk drive, you need to:
1. Prevent any disk updates
2. Change the state of the hard disk drive into BL-US
3. After powering off the faulty BCN module, remove the hard disk drive carrier
AMC (HDSAM-A) containing the hard disk drive. Then, install them in the
new BCN module.
4. Power on the BCN module.
5. Replicate all the previously saved configurations and information of the faulty
BCN module in the new one

6. Upgrade or downgrade the eSW of the new BCN module if necessary

7. Change the states of the functional units to WO-EX or SP-EX

If the BCN module contains an OMU unit, change the state of the OMU unit to WO-EX
Change the state of the MCMU unit to SP-EX.
Change the state of the BCXU unit to SP-EX
Change the states of the PCUM, ETME, and ETMA units to SP-EX or WO-EX
If the BCN module contains a hard disk drive, change the state of the hard disk
drive to WO-BU. ZISC:,OMU:WDU,0:WO-BU;
Replacing a synchronization AMC for mcBSC

1. Change the working state of the AMC to SE-NH

ZUSC:unit,0:TE;
ZUSC:unit,0:SE-OU;
ZUSC:unit,0:SE-NH;
2. Remove the unit description of the AMC

3. Wait until the hot swap LED turns into a solid blue
4. Pull the hot swap handle again more firmly and slide the AMC out of the bay.
