Administrative Ethics

◍ Administrative ethics refers to well-based


standards of right and wrong that prescribe
what public administrators ought to do in
terms of duty to public service, principles,
virtues, and benefits to society.

Ethics

◍ Ethics refers to the standards of right and wrong behaviour that are
voluntarily accepted by persons who choose to be part of a professional
group, including the profession of public administration. When one
accepts membership in a profession or accepts a public service position,
the ethical standards become binding.

Administrative ethics
◍ denotes the professional code of morality in civil service.
They constitute the moral fiber of civil servants. They
regulate the conduct and behaviour of different categories of
civil servants.
