As for the eleven disciples, they went to Galilee, to the
mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they
saw Jesus, they bowed before him, although some
doubted. “All authority has been given to me in heaven
and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all
nations. Baptize them in the Name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe
all that I have commanded you. I am with you always,
even to the end of the world.”

• It signifies the commissioning of Jesus’ disciples to go on and to
continue His unfinished work by means of proclaiming His words and
teachings.
DISCIPLESHIP: Nature of membership in
God’s kingdom

• As baptized Christians, it is
already innate in us that we
are missionaries, to follow
Christ through His works,
deeds, and actions.

• In the spirit of mission, we need to acknowledge and


accept the true identity of Christ present in every Christian
creed.
CONFORMING OURSELVES TO HIM

• The Church is teaching us


to respond to the call of
Christ as his beloved
disciples.
DISCIPLESHIP: Responding the Call of Christ
• Following Jesus through His mission is to prioritize and to
respond to the call of the Church he had established 2000
years ago.
KNOWING JESUS, FOLLOWING JESUS

• Being a disciple of Jesus requires us to have an encounter


with Him.
• Knowing Jesus is one of the primary requirement in order to
continue His mission.

our faith centered in Him.
