the Orchard
1. Square Method
this is the most basic and common
arrangement of orchard trees. A tree stands in
each corner of the square or rectangle,
essentially forming very regularly spaced
rows.
2. Quincunx method
consists of four trees at the corner of
square with one tree in the middle
3. Rectangular method
trees are planted from a distance, from
north to south, from east to west.
4. Hexagonal method
six trees are planted to form a hexagon with
the seventh tree planted in the middle.
5. Contour method
this technique gives growers the opportunity to use
areas that are vulnerable to erosion like hillsides
