Industry profile
The Indian Online Education Market is poised to grow
by $ 14.33 bn during 2020-2024 progressing at a
CAGR of 21% during the forecast period.

Easy availability of the internet is the primary reason

for the growth of online education in India. Between
2019 and 2020 the number of internet users in India
increased by 128 million.
Abstract
How to ensure the quality of online learning in institutions of
higher education has been a growing concern during the past
several years. While several studies have focused on the
perceptions of faculty and administrators, there has been a
paucity of research conducted on students’ perceptions
toward the quality of online education.

This study utilized qualitative methods to investigate the

perceptions of students from two universities and one
community college regarding the quality of online education
based on their own online learning experiences.
Introduction
Online learning is education that takes
place over the Internet. It is often referred to
as “e- learning” among other terms.
However, online learning is just one type of
“distance learning”
Objectives Of the Study
➔ Enhance the quality of learning and
teaching.
➔ Meet the learning style or needs of
students. Improve the efficiency and the
effectiveness.
➔ Improve user-accessibility and time
flexibility to engage learners in the
learning process.
➔ Providing access to unlimited number of
courses.
SWOC analysis
1. Strengths

Adaptability & flexibility , Free from limitation & wide access, less
cost.

2. Weakness

Absence of hard working attitude, Deviations & disturbances, high-

dropouts ratios.

3. Opportunities

Learn from everywhere, increases instructor, access to experts.

4. Challenges

lack of influence, less accuracy, low level of understanding

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Type of Study : Descriptive

Sample design : Simple Random sampling

Sample size : 40

Sources of data : Primary & Secondary

Primary data collection method used : Survey

Instrument used for collecting primary data : Interview, Observation and Questionnaire
Scaling technique used in the questionnaire : Likert’s 5 point scale

Secondary data : journals, Magazines, Reports, Books, Articles, Researc

papers, Websites, Company publications, Manuals an
booklets.
Data analysis and
interpretation
Data analysis is a key component of qualitative research.
Transcripts made of audiotaped interviews were checked
for accuracy against the original recordings. Data
analysis was also conducted simultaneously with data
collection. There were positive experiences and negative
experiences of online education.

The positive experiences : Flexibility, cost-effectiveness,

convenience, self-paced, availability of technical support,
and ease of connection flexible class participation time.

The negative experiences included: delayed instructor

feedback, unavailable technical support from instructor,
self-regulation and self-motivation, and a sense of
isolation.
Findings
The effectiveness of online education
depends upon the students and the
environment around him.

Online education in this pandemic has

simultaneously grown and pushed
everyone to opt towards it in this situation.
Lessons learnt from the Study

Online made easy for many people those

who are not able to reach their destinations
for studies purpose and they are pursuing it
online.

Many people who are working can study in

the night time and felt that online will be the
best choice for them so they thought of
approaching online.
Suggestions

Students should turn-on their cameras

while undergoing the online class.

Online education has a wide scope, where

we can learn from everywhere.

Government can interfere in this education

system and can provide access to education
for unprivileged people and in rural areas.
