 Aged Care Workers provide
support to elderly people by
assisting with daily activities

Workers 

The role includes working in individuals'
homes, group and/or respite homes,
providing a range of supports to people
with disabilities that may include: personal
care, health, exercise and diet, daily

people in their own homes, to help them
live their lives as independently as
possible, and ensure they are safe and

REGISTERED NURSE

reactions or side effects.  
ASSISTANT
NURSING   

• A certified nursing
assistant's (CNA)
main role is to provide
basic care to patients, as
well as assist them in
daily activities they
might have trouble with
on their own, such as
bathing. 
MY ROLE AND  I work as a care staff team leader under nursing
RESPONSIBILITY
department.
 My role is to provide assistance care workers
who are assisting residents to accomplish their
daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing.
According to my role, I am obliged to maintain
all records in accordance with the policy and
standards of the company.
 I need to ensure during my shift that all
residents take their medication at prescribed
times by medical professionals.
 In case of emergency, I am required to
communicate about the issue to resident’s
family.
ACCOUNTABILITY

• Accountability refers to taking responsibility

for the work we do.

• As an aged care worker we are responsible for

all the work we perform in the organization and
there is no chance of negligence as it can take
the life of a person.

• According to my job role as a team leader of

care workers, I need to be sure that all team
members perform their duties with care and
proper awareness. Example: In term of
medication we need to take full care when
giving medicine to the residence as giving
wrong medicine to wrong person can be life
threatening.
