The second one refers to you in “Filipino”. The third means you go as fast
you could and the last syllable, sounds like the arc shape in the roof of a

What is memorandum ?

 Written internal communication as means for


exchanging information relating to day-to-day
functions within the organization

 Memos are used to communicate with other


employees, regardless of where they are located in
the same organization ( Stewart and Clark)
Purpose:

1. To share information ( Change of Office Location)


2. To make a request (To contribute to a charitable
cause)
3. To communicate an Organizational directives
/ Change in Policy or Procedure
4. To communicate a decision ( Change in weekly
timings or uniform

1. Heading Segment

2. Opening Segment
The opening should contain a short version of why this
memo is necessary, so the recipient knows exactly what is
happening.

3. Context
If there are any specific reasons or circumstances for
the memo, they can be listed in this section.

4. Action Segment
The segment should be used to instruct the recipient on
any steps to be taken or tasks to be performed related to
the context or subject of the memo. One should be clear
and specific about this task to avoid any confusion later
on.

5. Summary Segment
While the memo should be short, some can turn out to
be rather long based on the subject in question. In such
cases, a memo should also carry a summary to help the
recipient understand what is required and why.

6. Discussion:
If necessary, one can attach this segment to convey the
various ideas that lead to the reason for this memo and
the possible policy behind it.

This segment should end the memo politely and in a
positive note to help initiate whatever action may be
required. It is also important that any needed attachment
supporting the content in the memo be displayed as well.

1. Check for stylistic requirement with your job.


2. Make sure that the body of the text is clear, concise
and grammatically correct
3. Keep things simple. Avoid long sentences and wordy phrasing
4. Do not use salutation. You should simply go right into
the subject of the memo
5. Use bulleted list and headings to convey your
message

6. Conclude the memo with any closing statement that may


inspire the recipient to take action

7. Mention any and all attachments at the end of the memo by


using the single word “Attachment”

8. Once you’ve completed a draft, share it with


your colleague. An extra pair of eyes always helps to
catch errors and improve readability.

A crew will repair the roofs on Tuesday. The cleaning if possible will

speaker to avoid excess noise on calls.
Cleaning of the ground will be on Wednesday so everybody must bring
their tools.
Remodeling of the building will still continue so work at your own safety.
