taking place within the living cells,is one of
the rapidly expanding,medical sciences. A
sound knowledge of biochemistry is essential
to understand, diagnose and treat commonly
encountered human ailments.A number of
latest discoveries in the fields of
genetics,immunology, metabolic disease and
oncology have biochemical basis.
The aims and objectives of teaching
biochemistry to the BSc students are:

1. To make the students aware of the basic

biochemical processes occurring in the human
body.
2. To help them understand biochemical basis of
commonly encountered disorders.
